Beschreibung:

 This course suits learners with a good grasp of English at the upper intermediate level.

While addressing the learners? topical interests and needs, essential B2 grammar points are highlighted and solidified. The course wishes to boost communication skills via conversation, talks and fun reflections that heighten awareness for the workings of the English language as such and its own inherent path to proficiency.

Learning objectives are to enhance and encourage fluency and spontaneity for interacting confidently in everyday as well as vocational or academic contexts, improve delivery (pronunciation, intonation) and brush over grammar key points such as the narrative and perfect past, modals, indirect speech, phrasal verbs, more collocations, participle clauses, etc.

Classes are learner-oriented and interactive while drawing from a variety of texts and media. Small complementary assignments are given over the duration of the course to sustain active learning.

Kursleiterin:
Charis Moore: Studium der Nordamerikanistik und Theaterwissenschaft (Schwerpunkt Film) an der Freien Universität Berlin mit dem Abschluss Magistra Artium. Seit 1989 Text- und Simultan-Übersetzungen sowie Beratung. Unterrichtet Englisch Konversations- und Aufbaukurse mit Erfahrung in den Kompetenzstufen A1-C1 und ist lizenzierte telc-Prüferin. Dozentin für Englisch an der VHS Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg seit 2007.
