Beschreibung:

 Being able to communicate effectively in English has become important in all types of business situations. This early morning online course offers you the opportunity to hone your speaking skills and take that right into your day.

Topic covered
We will work on a variety of skills and topics, focussing on meetings, negotiations, management styles, marketing and rapport building this term. You will be able to explore and discuss diverse aspects of the topic items in application and practice. The course includes vocabulary development, reading tasks and writing a business letter.

Who is this course for?
The course is aimed at learners with B2-level English who want to consolidate their existing skills and gradually progress towards C1. It is suitable for participants who have completed the relevant B2 learning content or have comparable knowledge. The course progressively develops linguistic range, accuracy, fluency and communicative independence.

Lesson aims
•develop vocabulary in the context of business situations
•allow for discussions around selected topics
•apply idiomatic language
•apply target language
•provide opportunity for exchange of ideas in business contexts
•improve participants' formal writing skills

Methods
Role play, group discussions, mini presentations, partner interviews
gap fill exercises, reading comprehension, listening for gist and detail, short writing tasks.


Materials will be provided by the tutor.

Who is the couse instructor?

Atim Ani is an experienced Business English tutor with an M.A (Magister Artium) in English and American Literary and Cultural Studies (Anglistik & Amerikanistik). She is a certified native English language teacher (CELTA) and holds a teaching qualification in Higher Education (PGCert in Higher Education), applying a student-centred interactive teaching method onto her lessons.
