Reading short stories and texts, you will be introduced to a series of fascinating Native American authors, through their writing, and by listening to interviews and documentaries. Go beyond Karl May!
In this course we will read and discuss Native American literature written by Native Americans in English. Native American storytelling has a long, rich history. We will read short texts by Native Americans in their own words from their own perspectives. We will also read and discuss the historical background behind the texts.

You will learn about Native American culture and history, while improving your English reading comprehension and conversation skills, while expanding your vocabulary in a relaxed environment with a citizen of the Cherokee Nation and a native speaker of English.
