Beschreibung:

 Thabo Thindi?s exhibition “Black faces in white? space" is a street photography + space occupation intervention which challenges + interrogates Germany to deal with its structural, institutionalised, social + political racism.

By rightfully occupying the space (public and otherwise) thus empowering, normalising the visibility + presence of people of color in Germany, “Black faces in white? space" photography intervention serves to demystify the notion of the “other" to disrupt the circle of black oppression. This is a call for the “whites" to take a rear view look in the mirror and see what damage lies behind “whiteness?.


Through “Black faces in white? space" photography intervention in public space (streets), private spaces (galleries) and online (public) Thabo Thindi invites individual members of the human society to pause for a moment to reflect and examine how black lives has been tortured, murdered, enslaved, dehumanised and robbed of everything human for centuries and to this day still continuing to scream for the right to live.

 Eintritt frei. Öffnungszeiten: Mo-Fr 8:30-20:00, Sa-So 9:30-17:30 Uhr außer in den Schulferien Alle Besucher*innen müssen ein Kontaktnachverfolgungsformular ausfüllen und in den Briefkasten einwerfen. Die 3 G Regel gilt in allen Innenräumen.
