With rapid increasing data volume, "Big Data" has become super popular in IT industry. It helps to improve products and service, with cost reduction and revenue increase, with fasterand better decision making by executive teams and a lot more.
After the initial research paper in 2003, the first open-source version of "Google File System" called "Hadoop" was rolled out by Yahoo in 2006 and then Apache Spark in 2013. These 2 products lead the way and transformed this IT industry.
