Beschreibung:

"Interdisciplinary Drawing" is a weekend block course designed to explore contemporary drawing techniques. The course offers a variety of approaches, from bookbinding and botanical drawing to comics and urban sketching. Over the three days, participants will experiment with different materials, techniques, and formats while developing their personal drawing practice. Excursions will take the group to botanical gardens and other locations, such as museums in Berlin, to observe and draw from nature, architecture, and everyday life.

The course emphasizes taking time to enjoy the act of drawing, sharing work with others, and finding techniques that resonate with each participant's personal artistic practice. This course is designed for artists who enjoy sketching.

The participation fee includes materials, but not any admission fees. Note: An excursion to the botanical garden or a museum is planned for Saturday. Admission is not included in the course fee and must be paid by the participants themselves.

This course will be held in English. The instructor can provide translation assistance and answer questions in German.

The course is taught in English but questions can also be asked in German.

Heather Purcell studied at the Glasgow School of Art (BA) and at the Berlin University of the Arts (MA). She works as an artist and freelance art educator offering animation and video workshops. Her work focuses on the combination of analogue and digital media.
