Beschreibung:

 Deep Reading is for writers and readers who want to understand the means and tricks that the best authors employ to make their novels and stories shine.
In-depth, microscopic explorations of selected masterpieces reveal both the basics and intricacies of fiction writing. You`ll learn how to use rhythm and sound to tell a story, how to make description captivating, and how to create a distinct voice in a few sentences.

The course is aimed at both aspiring and experienced writers, editors, critics, and translators who`d like to improve their reading, writing, and debating skills.
Nonprofessional readers with some experience in reading fiction in English are welcome.


Michael Duszat studied English, German and Comparative Literature and completed a Dr. phil. degree in American Literature with a close reading of literary lists. He works as a freelance editor and writing coach, and has been teaching courses about literature, writing, and deep reading since 2015.
