Beschreibung:

 You want to replace a button on your favourite jacket, mend a hole, or adjust clothing without a sewing machine? This course will give you a tool-kit of techniques to make your wardrobe last longer and be more attuned to your personal style using visible mending and embroidery techniques.

Course Overview:
- Repair techniques: Darning, sachiko mending, and seam adjustments
- Decorative embroidery: Doodlestitching and emblematic embroidery
- Essential handstitches for repairs and alterations
- Adjustments: Hemming pants, sewing buttons, and simple tailoring fits


Astrid Grabner, an Austrian artist based in Berlin, studied at an art school and holds a B.A. in German Studies from the University of Graz. She works with textiles, polymer clay, and digital media, creating miniature diorama jewelry and other stationary.
