Beschreibung:

 Dieser Kurs richtet sich an Teilnehmende der Niveaustufe B1.
Come along and practise speaking while at home. With ZoomX high audio quality, we can leave all mics open and simulate a face-to-face classroom. In each lesson, you will have plenty of opportunity to practise speaking in small groups in breakout rooms, while your teacher is popping round monitoring you and giving feedback. In the mainroom, we will explain rules, clarify the tricky bits, and extend your vocabulary and grammar knowledge and raise your awareness of context and culture. We will not be translating as our focus is on the practical side of using the language: understanding others and being understood. We will use a textbook with lots of spoken English - Survival English included. Listening and writing activities are given as homework so they do not eat up precious classroom time. Personal or regional events will also be used to have you speak. Grammar on demand.
Themen: Small talk, Holidays and travelling, Devices and instructions, Past and Future forms, Modal verbs, Giving your opinion, Making plans and suggestions, Eating out, Planning a journey, Using public transport, Events and shows.

Thomas Samain unterrichtet seit seinem Englischlehrerstudium (HU Berlin) an der VHS, seit 2008 hauptberuflich für die Niveaustufen A1, A2 und B1. Das Zertifikat für den Fremdsprachenunterricht mit Erwachsenen hat er 2010 erworben (EUROLTA Certificate in Language Teaching to Adults by ICC). Für verschiedene Abteilungen des Bezirksamtes und in medizinischen Einrichtungen hat er berufsbezogenes Englisch unterrichtet. Auch in seinen VHS-Kursen passt er den Unterricht an den Bedarf der Gruppe an und konzentriert seine Kursarbeit auf das Sprechen und Hören.
