Beschreibung:

 Political correctness is a part and parcel of geo-political interaction. Certain terms, such as POC, othering, lookism, only exist in English language. What do they actually mean? How can one use them, how pc can one be!

Our focus will be contemporary fiction pertaining to topical issues: Zadie Smith And Salmon Rushdie, just for example.

What is commonly referred to as 'world music', such as african or indian tribal music or german underground music from the 60s and the 70s. The participants will be encouraged to explore that. Example: Gond music from India, Griot from Africa, bands such as Embryo from Munich.

Films off the beaten track in every possible language are often ignored by the mainstream media. There's plethora of them available at the Berlin libraries. They'll be integrated into our discussions. Example: Wes Anderson and Satyajit Ray films.

Drawing on paper with pencil, charcoal and graphite will be a part every alternate lesson. Artists contemporary and not so contemporary will be our references: Peter Doig, David Hockney, Victor Hugo, William Kentridge.

❔ Participants are required to provide their own paper, erasure, sharpner and the tools menitoned above.
Course materials will be provided by the teacher.
