Beschreibung:

Der Kurs wird in Englisch durchgeführt.

This course introduces beginners and professionals to the world of autonomous vehicles using Python.
You will start from the very basics of programming and data, then move step by step into how self-driving cars "see," "decide," and "act."

The instructor will guide participants with easy examples, real datasets, and small projects.

Course Modules
Module 1: Python Basics & Data for AVs
Learn Python step by step with variables, loops, and functions, then move into pandas and matplotlib to analyze driving datasets. By the end, you'll be able to load real data like speed and GPS logs, visualize it, and understand why Python is the foundation of modern AV systems.

Module 2: How Self-Driving Cars See the World
Discover how cars use sensors like cameras, LiDAR, and GPS to interpret their surroundings.
With OpenCV, you'll try simple image processing tasks such as detecting lanes or vehicles, gaining a beginner-friendly understanding of how computer vision helps cars "see."

Module 3: Decision Making & Navigation Basics
Explore how AVs make decisions by combining data from different sensors.
You'll code simple driving rules, simulate obstacle detection, and even design logic for stopping at red lights or turning at intersections.
This module shows how cars move from perception to action.

Module 4: Simulation, Testing & Capstone Project

See why AV testing relies on simulators like CARLA and work on mini-projects with real datasets. You'll plot routes, highlight detected objects, and finally build a mini pipeline that brings everything together: data input, perception, and decision-making in action.

By the end of this course, you will be able to
- Write basic Python programs with key libraries like pandas, matplotlib, and OpenCV.
- Understand how autonomous vehicles use sensors to interpret their environment.
- Implement simple driving rules and navigation logic, and test a mini AV pipeline using real datasets or simulations.

Requirements
- Basic knowledge of Computers and nice to have Python basics.
- You need Python installed (Version 3.x).
