Business English B1: Workplace Communication and Functional Language is a one-week online intensive course designed for professionals who want to use English confidently and naturally in their daily work environment.
This course is ideal for learners who already know the basics of English but still hesitate when speaking, participating in meetings, handling phone calls, or writing emails.
Over five days, participants engage in realistic business scenarios that reflect everyday professional situations. The lessons are dynamic, conversation-driven, and focused on practical language use rather than theory.
Through simulations, role-plays, collaborative tasks, and guided speaking practice, learners activate their existing knowledge, expand their workplace vocabulary, and develop genuine communicative confidence.
Grammar and vocabulary are fully integrated into communicative tasks to ensure natural and effective language development.
By the end of the course, participants will feel more confident, fluent, and well-prepared to use English in professional contexts.

Dieser Kurs gilt gemäß § 10 Abs. 5 des Berliner Bildungszeitgesetzes (BiZeitG, GVBl. vom 05.07.2021 S. 849) als Bildungsveranstaltung im Sinne der beruflichen Weiterbildung anerkannt. Diese Anerkennung gilt nur für
Arbeitnehmerinnen und Arbeitnehmer gemäß § 1 Abs. 1 des oben genannten Gesetzes, die bei einem Arbeitgeber im Bundesland Berlin angestellt sind und die o.g. Kenntnisse beruflich benötigen. Der Kurs ist zur beruflichen Weiterbildung im Sinne des § 22 BbgEBG ist gemäß § 7 Absatz 2 BFV in Brandenburg anerkannt.
Dieser Kurs ist auch nach §1 Abs. 1bis 4 AWbG in NRW und nach dem Hessischen Bildungsurlaubsgesetz (HBUG) anerkannt.
Der Kurs kann auch von Personen besucht werden, die keine Anerkennung der Bildungszeit anstreben.
Julia Cortez is a language teacher with more than eight years of experience teaching adult learners. She holds a bachelor?s degree, the CELTA certificate, and a Business Studies Certificate (Dublin, Ireland), and teaches both English and Brazilian Portuguese. In her work in the field of Business English, she has supported numerous working professionals in developing their communication skills for international work environments. Having lived in several countries, she now resides in Berlin and brings this intercultural background into her teaching. Julia has worked with learners at all proficiency levels and with a wide variety of goals. She speaks Brazilian Portuguese, English, Spanish, and German, and therefore has extensive personal experience in learning foreign languages.
