The main aim of this early morning walk is to identify bird songs. Many species welcome the dawn each day by singing. Distinguishing between one species and another is not always easy. Smartphone users may wish to install a bird-identification app (recommended are NABU for Berlin and Merlin worldwide). The walks begin at 6 a.m., shortly before sunrise, and end at 8:15 a.m.. As well as being an educational experience, an early morning walk is a very healthy way to start the day!
The walk begins near Potsdamer Platz, finishes at S-Bahn station Tiergarten and is suitable for wheelchair users.
Robert Crouch was born in Malaysia and grew up in England. After 20 years working as a sailor and boat builder, he moved to Berlin to teach English. Robert is a qualified TELC examiner for English, levels A1 to C2. He is also a talented musician and has been performing semi-professionally for nearly 40 years.
